Play store has already 0.8 while fdroid is still at 0.7.21
It's not maintained by this team, no.
Known issue, see last post here https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing-android/issues/696
Does anyone know how to switch from the f-droid version to the google play version without breaking the whole setup?
thanks!
f-droid people are volunteers - a little patience will help here. I would expect f-droid to have the new release within several days.
you may be able to export/import, but you need to preserve the node keys and the folder settings, or else set up the node in question again and authorize it on the others.
Thanks for your answer. I'll wait!
You can use the export/import item in the settings to transfer your configuration and keys. That way, you can transfer between Google Play and F-Droid versions.
Would it be possible for you to compile and upload the apk directly to github like it's done with the base syncthing project?
Uploading it to github would still mean, that you have to uninstall and reinstall (with export / import), as only f-droid can sign APK's with their key.
Well, that would be the minor issue, as having desktop and mobile out of
sync (different versions) is the real pain. So if it possible to have the
apk through github, that is fine too.

I suggest you contact F-Droid directly, as the problem is definitely on their side. They haven't responded to me yet. I've attached the Google Play release (signed with a different key as mentioned by @wweich).
Edit: Missed the post by mvdan here, looks like it should be fixed now.
Man, you are great! Thanks so much for the apk. I'll approach F-Droid and
I'll keep you all posted and see if anything moves on on this side as well.
Have you all a great day

Hi Felix,
perhaps you have been already informed, but the issue with F-Droid is that
their build failed.

Looks like F-Droid fixed their problems, 0.8.1 is now available.
