Syncthing-android: Cannot enable devices in folder edit screen

Created on 18 May 2016  Â·  14Comments  Â·  Source: syncthing/syncthing-android

Steps:

  1. Create folder on internal storage
  2. Enable all or some of the configured devices
  3. Save
  4. Go back into folder settings, see that all devices are off
  5. Toggle them on again
  6. Press back arrow
  7. Go back into folder settings, they are off again

Phone model: Sony Z5 Compact
OS: Android 6.0 (build 32.1.A.1.185)

This is my first time using the app, so it's never worked for me. I've double checked the folder is located on internal storage. I currently have two devices configured, neither work.

Devices remain "Disconnected"

I can confirm that toggling a device in the folder edit is not saved. I just tried to disable a device (the only one I have configured in Android) and after closing the folder settings and opening it again, the device is still enabled.

Devices remain "Disconnected"

This has nothing the do with sharing folders. Connection is done, even if no folder is shared. So that's another problem.

same for me on Galaxy s6 & note 4 running lollipop 5.1.1

I'm not sure if related to the original issue but same symptoms for me trying to select upnp on devices mentioned above.

Same problem here, with Android 5.1

Same issue on Moto X Play with Android 6.0.1. No notification that the Android device is attempting to share a folder with them on the other devices either. This makes sharing folders from Android quite difficult.

hey @Nutomic did you get a chance to push that version?

@rodolf0 The F-Droid build was disabled, but the new version should be there tomorrow.

Latest version I see is 0.7.18 updated on May 17th, 2016.

@rodolf0 The new version is definitely on F-Droid. Did you update your repo?

When will it be propagated to the Play Store?

The Play Store build is still at 0.7.18 and given that this a bug that is impacting the user experience rather significantly, wouldn't it make sense to also quickly push the fixed build to the place that is reaching the widest audience?

Damn I wasn't aware that the Google Play update was also not published. I'm on it now.

0.7.19 is on Google Play now!

Oh I was referring to the Google play version from the beginning, sorry for
the lack of context. I see the new version now, thanks!
