@BasThomas Happy to take this one. It's been a while!

Hey @SwiftWeekly/writers, if anyone is interested in writing this issue, that would be fantastic. I won't be able to spend enough time for a full issue, but am available for proofreading and getting a draft ready. If you're interested, let me know!

In early 2018, swift evolution forum participants started adding a small cross to the naming section of their proposal. This 鈥渕omento mori" acted as a reminder that we all too shall die, probably during a lengthy naming discussion. https://twitter.com/AirspeedSwift/status/977222477389611010/photo/1

Proposal for random number APIs in the standard library now in review over on Swift Evolution.

While Swift鈥檚 Sequence models brings a lot of niceties that we didn鈥檛 have access to in Objective-C, like map and filter, there are other useful operations on Sequences that the standard library doesn鈥檛 support yet. I鈥檇 like to pitch one today: count(where:), which counts the number of objects in a Sequence that passes some test.

@BasThomas I'll be on an airplane tomorrow morning. I'll have issue ready but is it OK to push the issue at 6am Pacific? Or can you set a backup alarm for 12pm to publish, in case in-flight wi-fi fails us all?

I can publish 馃憤

Sent with GitHawk

Thanks @BasThomas. If wi-fi holds up I will tweak and publish in the air around 10am Pacific. I'll still leave the draft in a good publishable state in the morning, just in case.

馃帀

FYI I've also added SE-0207 :)
