  • Portfolio is great but I think the heading " Portfolio" must be changed to "Project", as below the heading you are showing projects.

It's great having you contribute to this project

Thank you for raising an Issue! Welcome to the community

If you would like to continue contributing to open source and would like to do it with an awesome inclusive community, you should join our Discord chat and our GitHub Organisation - we help and encourage each other to contribute to open source little and often 馃 . Any questions let us know.

Couple of tips on your portfolio -
image

  • The "PortFolio" on the top left corner is entirely unnecessary, I'd suggest removing it
  • typed.js for your bio doesn't make sense when all it's typing out is "Aspiring Data Scientist" over and over again. Add some points, or remove it entirely

image

  • The skill progress bars add no value. To anyone that's looking, what does 85% in Python mean? That you know 85% of everything in Python? Seems unlikely. I've seen a lot of recruiters get turned off by this, so either just list your skills out or divide them into "proficient in" and "familiar with".

  • Have you considered using a different template? Alignment is all over the place, and a fair bit hard to read tbh

  • Some more examples of bad alignment

image

  • Kaggle logo looks out of place here

image

  • This feels like it would belong more with the About section

  • If you're going to continue using this template (or for that matter, whatever you use), replace the stock background image with something that has a bit of your personality in it

Thanks, @sreekaransrinath:
I have noted all your points and added them as issues on my GitHub repository too!

I have used an existing bootstrap template {this one} as I learned HTML and CSS during MLH Local Hack Day: Build. What templates would you recommend to have a better alignment?

Consider building a jekyll site. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's definitely worth it, since there are some great portfolio templates out there built with jekyll (Just google "jekyll portfolio site github").

If you want to stick to HTML / CSS, take a look at https://html5up.net and https://templated.co

Thanks @Nitesh-thapliyal . I have made the change!

Thanks, @sreekaransrinath. I will start learning to build a website using Jekyll.

Thank you everyone for your inputs. As I am learning Jekyll (now) to build a new portfolio, closing this issue

Hi @NehaKoppikar , I can review this on a live stream in the future if you like? If so, you can leave the issue open for now 馃

Sure! I have re-opened the issue

The title and favicon can be updated to a N in the same style as B 馃槅

Checkout my Portfolio which has a JD as a favicon

it looks great btw

Could you fix the typo in the title of this issue?
