Actually, mee6 has music features in it but I also agree with using a bot just made for music, which one is better tho rhythm or groovy, most people seem to use rhythm.

Both are good, and I see that they've got almost the same features. Both have their pros and cons, it's up to you which one you prefer. But for me, I prefer Groovy as its user interface is less intrusive in channels and its more cheaper if you want to improve its features. Unlike Rythm, it does not use emojis in its interface, great for formal use in channels. I've experienced using these two in our channel :)
Hi @vinzvinci98 馃槂, I think this is a cool idea 馃憤.
Sorry for my ignorance, but what could we do with this bot on our server? Couldn't we just use Spotify or YouTube to listen to music 馃槃? Or does this bot have cool features like set a playlist on a particular channel, then anyone can join and listen to those songs at the same time?

Yes you can a set playlist by using your spotify or youtube, you'll just need to use the link of your playlist and anyone can listen in the voice-channel for what you've add in the text-channel. Btw, this will depends to eddie if he wants this features in his channels, most likely this bot is used on hackathon event.
ahh nice 馃槂, thank you for your response 馃憤 @vinzvinci98

Sorry for late reply about this. I've tried mee6 bot for playing music on my channel. It doesn't support my Spotify playlist link. Yeah we better use Groovy Music Bot. Add it on chilling channel :)
Sorry I didn't get to look into this yet. I will take a look at Groovy Music Bot now
Looks good, but I have some question I could nor find the answer to:
DJ role/manage channel permsWe never stream directly from spotify with Groovy. Essentially what happens when you queue something from spotify can be read here: https://groovy.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030600932-How-Groovy-plays-music-from-Spotify-and-Apple-Music-Deezer-
And pulling songs off of youtube has been around for quite a while, with youtube-dl still being a tool that is publicly available.
You are welcome to read a similar response on the outcome of youtube dl but again I am not qualified to anwser your question from a legal perspective from Groovys standpoint.

Yeah don't worry about licensing. Thanks @Vyvy-vi for saving the day 馃榿 I'm on vacation
Thank you for the replies.
Yeah don't worry about licensing
Licensing is becoming more and more important, most platforms are starting to lock things down - look at YouTube with taking down videos that contain copyright music, Twitch is doing the same and Instagram too. With more following.
I am trying to get sponsorship and give aways for our community, breaking licensing laws will prevent that from happening. For a simple life, I am going to park this for now.
Sorry @vinzvinci98 I know you were keen to have a music bot.

Thanks for understanding. I tried to do a little research on this also, but it is all very grey and confusing. Best to play it safe for now.
