please add an option to switch them off. They're funny the first time, annoying in the long run

Why do you not mute your phone?

In my case - some other applications emit sound on notification once something important happens, I want music player to be able to keep playing music, I want to be able to hear someone speaking in voice communication apps, I want to avoid disabling alarms.

It means that I want to avoid turning off any of three sound categories that I see available.

What about the other system default "click" sounds?

Disabled in system settings - one of my first actions after buying smartphone. Is SC able to read that setting and follow it?

Can be disabled in Android settings, FYI.

Also, this is a dupe of https://github.com/westnordost/StreetComplete/issues/1167

the sounds I meant appeared in the last version. these plop sounds which change pitch at every quest. And yes, one of the first things I turn off on a new phone are ui sounds. And I really don't want to mute the notification channel since I use my phone for messaging too ;-)

That the sounds are played on the notification channel is a bug and is fixed for the next version.

Okay, don't know though whether all users, who do not want sounds in third-party apps, also have these sounds in the system Android settings disabled though. And vice versa... (maybe you only want sounds in SC, e.g., but the system sounds annoy you)

So I would still prefer an option in the SC settings, altghough I _guess_ reading the system settings like that may satisfy many users.
