@krisc ok i put some time on this. My interpretation of @jeluard 's channel is "public chat". So I would follow the :chat.ui/start-public-chat path to create a new topic from an extension event (topic name as a parameter). We need a confirmation from @jeluard

I stopped work for this bounty because I'm already working on other bounties for status that I should finish up and wanted to apply for another Gitcoin bounty (not status). @tbenr or anyone else can take over if they like. But if this is still open when I finish up the other bounties, I'd like to continue with this again.
