Python-language-server install or update didn't worked for me but I solved it by reinstalling whole anaconda as It is anaconda dependence . Thanks you @ccordoba12 , @steff456 and @impact27 pact

The "real" name of pyls is python-language-server: https://pypi.org/project/python-language-server/
pip install --upgrade python-language-server

Hi @fuiked,

can you please let us know if the fix of @impact27 works?

even after i installed pip install pyls the error while starting spyder has not been solved

Also, since you're using Anaconda, the right command you need to use is

 conda update python-language-server
