spring-boot-admin and spring-cloud-config server not working together

Hi

I am trying to test having a single server to be spring-boot-admin and spring-cloud-config-server

My pom is as follows:

My application file is as follows:

However when I navigate to http://localhost:8888/

I get a blank screen and console error shows

404 not found: http://localhost:8888/assets/js/sba-core.js
404 not found: http://localhost:8888/assets/css/sba-core.css
404 not found: http://localhost:8888/assets/js/vendors.js

I guess there is a clashing of paths. Either you use spring.boot.admin.context-path to move where the admin ui is served or even better you split up the config and the admin server.
I strongly recommend to not couple your monitoring tool with your config server (as there is no reason to do so) and opt in for the latter.

@joshiste the solution suggested by you to move the spring boot admin context path did not work.

About separating the config and monitoring services, I agree but at times resources can be a constraint and hence bundling them in one server would be an option.

Actually it is possible to get both working by specifying different context paths for cloud config server and spring boot admin server

An example config would be:

spring.boot.admin.context-path=/sba-admin
spring.cloud.config.server.prefix=/config
