Both the terminal and font of choice will affect character rendering. Believe you haven't modified the default symbol. Could try with another font like FireCode ?

This is FiraCode

I've tried all three variants:

There are a few things we might be missing, Please check on them.

node-symbol

I've checked every option in iTerm2 but couldn't get the Node icon any bigger.
Never mind, I'm closing this issue.

PS: If anyone has a solution, please reopen this issue.

I'm not sure whether this would help, But Firacode doesn't have glyph for hexagon character (U+2B22), So terminal will be using fallback font like DejaVu Sans. Some font might have their code set to _narrow_ making them look small, try choosing another font with proper glyph and code.

iTerm discussion,

glyphs in the font are wide but the code is defined as narrow.
