Social: Nest post replies intuitively

Created on 20 Nov 2019  路  2Comments  路  Source: nextcloud/social

It is currently not obvious in the Timeline when a post is a reply to another post. This is usually accomplished by some kind of indenting or visual container scheme.

Here is an example from Mastodon with a post and a reply:
on-mastodon

And here's how it comes out in the Nextcloud Timeline:
on-nextcloud

Clicking on a local post brings you to its "single post timeline" where the post is shown together with its replies

I suppose this is how it works now. But it's still require improvement like described above. Clicking on post of Mastodon instances with non-empty InReplyTo property I see all known upper posts, but for Social I see only follow ups

We've developed the "single post timeline": Clicking on a local post brings you to its "single post timeline" where the post is shown together with its replies; Clicking on a remote post brings you to that post on its original instance.

If not yet merge, it should come pretty soon.
