Simplebar: scroll wheel input translated to horizontal scrolling

It would be really useful to have an option that translates scrolling from a scroll wheel (vertical scroll input) into horizontal scrolling for areas that scroll horizontally. Perhaps this is an easy implementation, but I've spent some time trying to get it to work and I have been unsuccessful.

I don't think that should be built-in the plugin but that's something I would be happy to have in a "recipe" section in the readme or on a wiki page.
