I'm not able to search for messages. I'd find it useful to have a dialogue when pressing CTRL+f (like on webpages in Chrome) or having a context menu with a search option.
Operating System: Ubuntu 17.04
Browser: Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Signal version: Signal Private Messenger 0.41.3
I second this. I am using Signal as my main messenger now, and it is impossible to find something in chat history without full search.
I hope you will be able to add full history search.
If not, then at least I would welcome some possibility to save message into "important"/"starred" or something like that where I can put important messages..
Thank you.
I also second it.
Duplicate indeed.
Search is working since mid 2018, see https://www.reddit.com/r/signal/comments/8repb9/signal_for_android_now_has_full_text_search/
Yes, full text search in Signal for Android is available, for the desktop version this issue is still open.
I would like that feature too.
Hope so see that fixed in near future.
I am just trying Signal, because Wire is too unreliable. But seing the Desktop App having no search is a no go :(
yes search in Desktop is absolutely needed!
All other things works great. With it could replace Skype...
is there any rough time horizon planning for this?
https://github.com/signalapp/Signal-Desktop/issues/367 is limited to members only so i have to ask here...
