The results list should allow me to select all or part of the files shown and present me with some standard file operations. Delete being the most obvious one.
Tag
Move (only works in some specific cases)
I can only click on an entry, which will take me to the folder.
The possibility to perform group operations on files would be useful always, especially for tagging
I mean the following:

Expected behaviour
The selection should allow me to perform some standard file operations. Apply to all the files of the selection a tag being the most obvious one. Commenting should be evaluated.
Being able to tag a bunch of selected files (photos) would be really nice to have.
The possibility to perform an operation (usually tag or share...) on a group of selected files (selected either by a search or by hand) is asked over and over in the forum.
This is one of the features I miss the most since migrating from Dropbox.
I see move/copy and delete are in the actions menu already, couldn't share be added there as well?
Keep thinking this is in Nextcloud already and find myself coming back here. Is someone looking into this or has it been decided that it will not be implemented? It feels like rather basic functionality to me.
I experienced issues while performing download operation on search results. After hit the "select all" checkbox NC select all files in a folder (not only the search results) as described in Issue #2075 from @Schmuuu. The issue #2075 should already solved this behavior but seems it didn麓t.
Is there a developer who would take this on? It seems like functionality that just about everyone with a nextcloud instance would use. I would like to be able to select multiple files, click the actions menu, and then add a tag to all of them at once.
Is there a way this can get added to a milestone so it is at least in the pipeline?
Thanks!
Is this a stale issue now? I'm interested in fixing it, what's the roadblock exactly?
Yeah, I would like this feature as well!
Looking forward to this feature, as well.
Use case here: selecting multiple files for sharing and share multiple files within one link.
Looks like many people want this. @stratosmacker, any luck in moving things forward with this? Thanks for whatever you can do/have done.
Any development in this regard?
Not intended to come across as entitled, but how is this feature still not implemented after more than 3 years of being raised? It seems such a fundamental and common usecase to share more than one file at a time without having to create new folders and ending up with duplicate files...
Has this now found its way into another bug/feature?
Me, on every new release of Nextcloud for the past 3 years:
"Oooo, there's a new release! Maybe I can finally perform group operations!"
Me, 30 seconds after getting the newest version spun up:
"...Sigh."
Is there somewhere a priority list? That way one like @fivestones would know what's coming and not get his hopes up too high ;)
I'm also very interested in this feature !
I believe making tags, and share them (for example making Albums by attaching tag to selected photos, and share them this way) is very needed feature.
