Semantic-ui: [Checkbox] Allow Text/Icon Labels

Created on 24 Feb 2015  路  13Comments  路  Source: Semantic-Org/Semantic-UI

Hi, I think it might be useful to have some kind of user defined "labeled" toggle checkbox - something like ON/OFF, YES/NO, AGREE/DISAGREE, etc.

Enhancement stale

+:100: from me as well. I think it would be great to specify the on/off color, text, and icons on a toggle. Also, maybe another type is needed, like bootstrap-switch? _(I'm coming from bootstrap so that's why I give that example.)_ My suggested options would be something like;

{
  // These are just examples for a use case of mine, not defaults or anything...
  // Colors are the contextual names (eg; green, red, blue, etc.)
  onColor  : 'green',
  offColor : null, // default "color", the way it looks now, while off...

  onText   : 'Locked',
  offText  : 'Un-locked',

  onIcon   : 'lock',
  offIcon  : 'unlock alternate'

  // Note: Text and icons could be combined
}

I think it would be nice to have color variations as well

All checkboxes already have custom labels?

Colors for checkboxes will not be added.

I believe he's talking about this: https://i.stack.imgur.com/LjoT5.png, where the label is inside the button itself

Thanks ph7vc, exactly, label inside the button. Maybe agree/dissagree text is too long for that kind of button, but 3 or 4 characters would be really useful (and I think easier to implement).

+1 this would be a great feature since the only visual that a toggle is checked is the color.

Thank you @jlukic for making this an enhancement, I'm looking forward to have it.

+1 This would be very helpful for building interfaces. It's very common to have on/off on the toggles.

Bump (due to stale bot). This feature request is still valid, unless declined (which would be sad bananas).

Bump again, i'm very interested in checkboxes that could be lockers (opened locker/closed locker)

Is there a chance that we will see this feature one day?
