Could you try if the community fork https://github.com/fomantic/Fomantic-UI works? It uses Gulp 4 and supports newer node versions

Same issue here, I can't find any help on the internet, sad.

At the end of this closed issue, someone said with 2.4.2 "it worked as expected", but it's not true.
