There is an API module I am working on in a branch api which will add these features to other modules (tab, popup, modal)

There is an undocumented version of api in the release package but it has been rewritten so I wouldnt suggest using it yet.

when do u plan to release the version 1?

There isn't a set date yet, but will be probably ferbruary/march. I'm returning to working in an office-like setting full time on semantic in January, which will expedite the process.

API might come before the first release version though.

great news to hear am now itself working on my social network site based on semantic ui and later i can upgrade when u release the Version 1.and i cant get the hang of the grid system can u edit the tutorial little more simpler?

Seconded that on having dynamic modals using the api to load content from an external file like greybox or fancybox.
