You can create a derivates and modifications, you can even share them.

However, you’re required to:

  • Retain all copyright, patent, trademark, and attribution notices that are originally present in the software.
  • Additionally, if you distribute any portion of the software in its source code form, you may do so only under the Ms-PL by including a complete copy of this license with your distribution. If you distribute any portion of the software in its compiled or object code form, you may only do so under any other license that complies with the Ms-PL.

So from that perspective

  • copyrights removed - prohibited
  • different version of licence applied (EULA instead of MPL) - prohibited

In just those 2 reasons this product is somehow "problematic". But suying chinese company is littlebit problematic too...

Thanks for the notification. This is a blatant fraud.

@NickeManarin
These rogues from Apowersoft deserve to be sued.

@smaragdus
I used to like their products, but now I know the truth, and I'm thinking the same thing as you.
But the project is license on MS-PL & TL;DR Legal, which is allowed for Commercial use (pay-to-use VIP), Modification (Encrypting), Patent use etc. Maybe that would be a problem.

It may not mean much but I plan to add mention of this little episode on whatever apowersoft garbage I come across. It's not much but at least I can heap some bad PR on these clowns.

To be a Chinese, I am shame on it.
