Schema-registry: ssl.endpoint.identification.algorithm=null is not taken into account

Created on 27 Nov 2019  路  6Comments  路  Source: confluentinc/schema-registry

Hello,

I'm willing to disable hostname checking for my ssl certs and it's not taken into account by our registry 5.2.1-1. Config was set to the following, which is what's seem to be needed for jetty:

#聽Tried this
ssl.endpoint.identification.algorithm=null

#聽And also this, same as kafka, without any success
ssl.endpoint.identification.algorithm=

This setting as a client to connect to Kafka works well though (kafkastore.ssl.endpoint.identification.algorithm=).

Here is the error :

#聽curl client
curl --user xxx:xxxx  -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/vnd.schemaregistry.v1+json" https://xxx-dev-02.example.net:8082/subjects/test/versions --insecure -d @data | jq
{
  "error_code": 50003,
  "message": "Error while forwarding register schema request to the master"
}

#聽server error

When this query is executed on the master, no issue, but when Avro has to redirect to it, there's the issue.

Do you have any ideas here ?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Kieran
