Hello all,
A special issue today to celebrate RSS-Bridge's fifth birthday !
Since this day, RSS-Bridge has evolved a lot: the first version only supported one service (flickr), and their wasn't any system that could allow for the creation of other bridges.
A lot has changed since:
file_get_contents to curl. This project is covering an ever growing number of services, thanks to an ever growing number of contributors. In times where more and more services are trying to trap people into using their proprietary solutions instead of implementing standard protocols, I feel like projects like this are important in order to maintain the usage of such protocols.
See you all in 5 years (hopefully) !
This is awesome! Thanks @teromene for noticing and making this post! :1st_place_medal:
It has been a pleasure working on this project with an open minded community and seeing how the project evolved over time. With more and more people getting involved, a small community has grown little by little to a point where a lot of contributions evolved the project to what it is now. I'm very happy to be part of this community
Working with RSS-Bridge has become so much easier thanks to many contributions of the community. Official releases, the Wiki, automatic deployment to Scalingo and Docker are some that come to mind.
And let's not forget contributions outside of GitHub: May it be on social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc...), blogs, discussion boards and Linux distributions (Debian, Guix). Thanks to everyone involved this project has grown so much more than meets the eye.
For some time I have been thinking about making a gource animation for RSS-Bridge. I can't think of a better time to do so. Please enjoy
:+1:
