How do I disable Two Factor Auth for users?
do you want to avoid users from setting up two factor auth?
currently there is no way to do that.. but this is something we'll add soon.
Hi Diego,
basically I think 2F is a good thing. But it's not working with SAML (#7099), so yes I'd like to avoid users from setting up two factor auth. Adding this feature would be great. Thanks.

+1 for this feature
same here.
Same here :( +1 for this feature
Same here, please add this feature to disable 2FA for users.
+1 here as well. Thanks
Anything new on this?
+1 this. Would love to see this feature.
+1 too. I think it's weird for user to be able to set 2FA when it's not working (in our corporate environment) : this is not user friendly.
This kind of option should not be implemented without admin control over it.
Anything going on this feature?
+1
guys you should rather add reaction on the issue instead of comment +1
.. this way we can better prioritize issues sorting issues by reactions ..
talking about the issue, we have this PR https://github.com/RocketChat/Rocket.Chat/pull/9775 which will enforce 2FA for external authenticators (it still does not support SAML, but it sill)..
I'm not sure we'll add an option to disable 2FA since it is a personal preference and strongly advised.. that's why we're focusing in make it work properly.
PR #9775 now includes 2FA for SAML as well.
@sampaiodiego _It is not a personnal preference when you use it in a corporate environment..._
Since Rocket.Chat is an app that you install on premise, most of the time, it is installed in a corporate environment.
So yeah, being able to disable it is mandatory !!!
So far we manage to hide it with CSS, but it's not okay since that option have no specific ID. When we hide it, we also hide some options in the administration panel, plus probably some other stuff elsewhere...
It is a truly annoying issue. And a simple one too, that's why there are so many +1.
Not to mention that in the current state, the option is not comprehensible by a non tech (99% of users don't know what 2FA means...)
