When I go to manage connections, and then click "create", the program freezes and I get the error message:
"Robomongo, MongoDB management tool has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
@colemanstecyk We are very sorry to hear that. Could you share your local OS version, Robomongo version and steps to reproduce this problem so that we can start investigation?
Hi i am facing the exactly the same issue. I have downloaded version 0.9.0 and while creation new connection its terminating the program with the above mentioned exception.
My operation system is Windows 7 64 bit Professional
Hi guys, we have done initial investigation and patched a small but suspicious piece of code.
Could you guys try to reproduce the problem with this version?
0.9.0_patch_create_connection_crash:

If you still have the problem, I want to ask is 'clone' connection working? I believe you should be able to create connection via clone as a workaround solution until we find a fix.
@simsekgokhan can you please check the URL, I can't access the patch location, And I am having an issue and it is on an new installation of Robo

Hi @murekezi , I double checked the link before, and now also checked it is working from other computers. But that patch is for create connection, your problem seems to be different right?
Can you share your exact OS and Robomongo versions?
And at which exact step you see the crash?
@simsekgokhan: I am on Windows 7 Professional SP1 and Application Version: 0.9.0.0 I get the error when i try to create a new connection:

for some reasons I can't access the patch
@simsekgokhan just download the patch as provided by you. I am sorry to tell you the issue is still not resolved and the result is same.
Hi I am facing the same issue.
It stops working as I try to create a new connection
please try to resolve
I am on windows 7 professional 64bit
Hi guys, currently we develop and test on lots of platforms, but we can never reproduce this problem, for us and for all other users, create connection just works. (@dgs-hassaan786 sorry for the long delay)
Without being able to reproduce and without logs, as you can imagine it is very difficult to investigate and find fix.
Could you guys share your crash reports?
And can you tell us if "clone" connection works? It might be a workaround solution until we find a fix.
Hi @simsekgokhan here are the traces
and the traces details could be found in the following file
traces.txt
@dgs-hassaan786 , thanks for the traces, but the dump file (mini dump) is the file required for investigation. It is generally produced after a crash on windows machines.
Example:
Hi, I'm getting this error also.
When it crashes I don't see the minidump or anything, but it does ask if I want to debug in Visual Studio. I believe this is the stack trace:

Actually I was able to copy some server setting from a friend's computer by moving over the robo3t.json file. Then it crashes as soon as I double click on the connection. I think it's just crashing when it tries to create the popups.
I am also facing the same issue on windows 7machine, it crashes for all operations create, clone or connect
Robo 3T 1.1 crashes on Windows 7 Professional SP1 64bit, CPU i5-5300U @2.3Ghz, RAM 8GB (7.88 GB Usable)
I have the same problem - is there any fix for this issue? I'm attaching the dump file in zip format
Late, but this might be helpful to this case: https://www.dell.com/community/Productivity-Software/Backup-and-Recovery-causing-applications-using-Qt5-DLLs-to-crash/td-p/4590325/page/2
Apparently the Dell Crash and Backup Recovery Software registers a few shell overlays that don't play well with some applications. (Primarily Qt applications showing file dialogs. Might be due to the dlls creating the overlays also being dependend o Qt?)
An update should help already, otherwise you can uninstall the dell software or unregister the shell overlays.
