Database import and export functionality is not provided by you. Please provide this details asap.
We planning to integrate with various mongo tools. And we already have ticket for this -> #2
I reopen this issue ticket because #2 is to complex and we want to allocate Import and Export.
Any progress regarding import/export feature?
Seems I'm going around in circles here, clicking issues that's about import / export. In the end, it's not yet available.
@mannyvergel You can use the standard tools included with MongoDB to import & export data.
Integrating those tools into Robomongo would be a nice convenience, but likely won't enable anything you can't already do with mongoimport/mongoexport and mongodump/mongorestore.
@stennie Thank you for your reply. I understand, it is what I do currently. I say this with respect (Sorry, English is not my primary lang.), but isn't this the essence of Robomongo, which is to provide convenience. I don't like to be pushy but even just the basic dump / restore, in my opinion, provides added value to end users by not having to enter db credentials twice (which is already stored in robomongo) and not having to remember the commands.
@mannyvergel I could not agree more with you..
@mannyvergel @titosportlobster Not disagreeing this would be a convenient feature to add .. my comment was just that there are standard command line tools for importing/exporting data that you can use in the interim.
This would probably make the tool twice appreciated. really need this functionality.
I want this feature. I want to be able to export all my connection strings and credentials and load them into another robomongo instance.
@gCurtisCT This feature request is for importing/exporting databases & collections.
If you want to copy your connection strings & preferences from one Robomongo instance to another, this information is saved in the Robomongo config file which should be in a path under your home directory: .config/robomongo/robomongo.json.
Really need this feature - main reason why I installed robomongo in the first place, now back to command line.
Like miliauskaite I also installed robomongo looking for this feature. How is the status of it?
@hugofvs This issue is currently in the backlog with some other issues currently gathering more community interest to resolve.
It would be helpful to have some more definition around what an import/export feature should do.
Related functionality is currently available in the standard MongoDB command line tools (mongoimport, mongoexport, mongodump, mongorestore) but that could be a lot of code/UI to duplicate in Robomongo. It might make sense to wrap the command line tools instead, but that adds other complexity.
I use Robomongo not because it's free (though that is cool) but because it's available on multiple platforms and I regularly flip flop from linux to osx and prefer to use the same tool on both platforms when possible. As of today, I see that this feature is not yet implemented. Like others have stated it would be extremely useful.
If it would make a difference, I think it would be completely appropriate to define a bounty on www.bountysource.com or similar service. I'd be willing to get the party started with say a $40 pledge.
If that is interest making, please leave comments to gauge interest.
+1 !!!

Well everything we do with Robomongo can be done without it as well :) I see Robomongo as a nicer/more convenient place to do those things.

Thanks All for your interest and very sorry for long delay.
We have officially started development for this feature.
Planned to be included not in the next release (Robomongo 0.9.0) but in the following release (Robomongo 1.0) with Replica Set support.
Warm Regards from Robomongo Team

@mannyvergel me too
hm? I didn't see any export function, yet... Robomongo 1.0.0-RC1
Hi @skydiablo , thanks for your interest and sorry for the delay. We did start the implementation and finished most of export feature. But some unexpected issues and other critical features interrupted. We are now fully focused on MongoDB 3.4 support. After that, I believe/hope we can continue and finish export/import support.
And if you are interested in export to CSV, we have a page which might help a bit for now: Export to CSV

It has been 6 years since #2!
Paid studio3t can, but free Robo 3T can't
Well, that was pretty obvious that they would keep it behind a pay wall. This is one of the reasons why mongodb is having a hard time being taken seriously when not even the most basic tools are available in any gui. But I digress. What we really should do is to ask ourselves why Compass does not have this even?
