I've mocked up a couple of logo proposals. The above is the one _I'm_ most fond of, currently, but note that these are all still WIP.
They have all been made to resemble the community JS logo and to a lesser degree also the Reason logo. The camel variant obviously points to the OCaml heritage by borrowing from the OCaml logo (which is "unlicensed" into the public domain).
The colors bear no meaning other than being somewhat similar to the colors used on the BuckleScript website.
Secondary goals have been to create an identity that can scale down to the size of small icons, and that can be used as a template to connect its identity with related projects. See the BuckleTypes logo for an example.
I agree we should have a logo, thanks!

My 2 cents, uses the OCaml colors.

_/me is not a fan of BS in the logo... >.>_

I like the color, but it's worth noting that the BuckleScript site is using one of the standard Github pages themes, including the default colors: https://github.com/pages-themes/cayman
I'm a fan of the one with the type variable. I agree that having BS in the logo might make it an easy target 馃槃
we can move forward on this issue now, maybe we can create a website too
Warning: Random person/twitter follower consideration
more emphasis on something like a _belt buckle_ (like mid-western), and uniqueness
@mdramos I like your idea, like some cartoon figure wearing a buckle would be nice
I like this idea.
It should be nice to have something more like a cowboy buckle with the Ocaml's camel on 馃
This might require an actual artist though, not just a clown with a pirated copy of Inkscape 馃ぁ
Little proposal based on the belt idea, including the B, and the camel. Do you like it? 馃槉

@bloodyowl I like it! It's a bit stylistically complex though, which has its drawbacks in certain scenarios. Depending on how it needs to be used, it might not scale well, or fit well on certain backgrounds. But unless anyone has specific concerns, I'd say we try it!
I'll try to make icons from 16x16 to bigger to see if we can make it scale
We can add @jimaek (https://twitter.com/jimaek/status/900359427898855424) to this conversation
How about making the buckle in the form of (or containing) the camel?
