react-native -v: 0.47.2 (react-native-cli: 2.0.1)node -v: v6.11.0npm -v: 5.3.0
- Target Platform: Android Device (iBall Slide Twinkle i5 - Android v5.1)
- Development Operating System: macOS v10.12.5
Steps to Reproduce
- I connected my Android device to my MacBook (via USB cable).
- Created a new default react-native app.
- I went inside my react-native project (via terminal) and did:
> adb devices
and I got following output:
List of devices attached
0123456789ABCDEF device
Which means that I do have my device successfully connected.
- Then I did:
> react-native run-android
Expected Behavior
The app should have launched in my Android Device.
Actual Behavior
I got an error that predominantly said:
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.
* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':app:installDebug'.
com.android.builder.testing.api.DeviceException: com.android.ddmlib.InstallException: Failed to install all

IMPORTANT:
The app launched successfully in my iOS emulator with
react-native run-ios
The app is also able to get successfully deployed and is running on my other Android device (OnePlus 2 - v6.0.1). So the app is not working on my iBall Android Device only.
I created other new react-native projects as well. They are all showing same error when launched on my iBall device, and are running perfectly on other device (OnePlus2 and iOS emulator).

I tried to run the app in my one plus and it works fine. But I got
"_Execution failed for task ':app:installDebug' com.android.builder.testing.api.DeviceException: com.android.ddmlib.InstallException: Failed to install all_"
error when trying to run in Coolpad.
Doing adb devices shows my device:
List of devices attached
DYV8ZTAAUW6PR8SO device
it also shows that
Installing APK 'app-debug.apk' on 'CP8676_I02 - 5.1' for app:debug
but doesn't install.
Any kind of help will be appreciated !!

Workaround that worked for me is to specify the --deviceId option:

I am sure it's Android version because the same App work flawlessly with 4.4.2 & 6.0.1

Reagarding "... :app:installDebug FAILED " issue ,
- uninstall the all virtual device using AVD Manager
- make sure all required SDK are installed:
Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
-Google APIs
-Android SDK Platform 23
-Intel x86 Atom_64 System Image
- Google APIs Intel x86 Atom_64 System Image - Install HAXM
- Create Virtual device using AVD Manager , and select the "x86 Images" tab, then look for the Marshmallow API Level 23, x86_64 ABI image with a Android 6.0 (Google APIs) target.
- Test the device
- Try again building the project
