I propose to finally make a fork and publish under a different name when the original developer will return then we can merge the new version into his and mark that package as deprecated

Think it'd be good to get the developer's feedback first as they went through the effort of making this fine module.

Hello,
As one of the contributors with no time currently I would say yes we should do that. The problem is that the original developer has even less time than I do :D so it might take some time to get permission to move this repo there.
