React-native-navigation: [v2][Android] Not working with latest RN 0.59.8?

Issue Description

Does v2 work for RN 0.59.8? I upgraded on my current project, thinking there might be some library clashing with RNN, but I tested on a fresh new RN project with no luck as well. Getting the following error:

org.gradle.api.tasks.TaskExecutionException: Execution failed for task ':react-native-navigation:compileReactNative57_5DebugJavaWithJavac'.

The v0.59.8 fix many issues on iOS. We need to find the problem of RNN with the current RN.

same issue

Try:

subprojects { subproject ->
    afterEvaluate {
        if ((subproject.plugins.hasPlugin('android') || subproject.plugins.hasPlugin('android-library'))) {
            android {
                variantFilter { variant ->
                    def names = variant.flavors*.name
                    if ( names.contains("reactNative51")
                        || names.contains("reactNative55")
                        || names.contains("reactNative56")
                        || (names.contains("reactNative57") && !names.contains("57_5")) ) {

                    }
                }
            }
        }
    }
}

Doesn't work =(. Tried cleaning first, and rebuilding with no luck

I tried With Latest RN 0.59.8 and RNN 2.19.0 there is no issue

@eldooon compared to your code i used buildToolsVersion 27.0.3 and minSdkVersion 19 and i tried with their preferred solution (custom script in package.json file) everything seems good there is no build issue

Works for me too. Did use the custom script in package.json though. In the docs, the state that's the preferred solution.

@MakhouT @syedabuthahirm Did you guys change the gradle version in the project build.gradle and distribution link in gradle-wrapper.properties?

@eldooon i didn't change gradle version and distribution.

I changed the following files
1) android/settings.gradle
2) android/build.gradle
3) android/app/build.gradle
4) MainActivity.java
5) MainApplicatiom.java
6) index.js
7) package.json

Same here like @syedabuthahirm
