React-native-navigation: Change Selected Tab Icon On Android

Would it be possible to add the selectedIcon functionality to Android's tab bar? If not, is there a workaround for this for the time being?

As this is against material design guide lines, we don't plan on implementing this feature.
It has been requested several times in the past, if someone wants to submit a pr we will accept it.
