Any ETA on heatmaps for RN SDK ??

@nitaliano Does this mean heatmaps are not currently supported using the latest mapbox RN sdk?

heatmaps are currently not available on native platforms, they'll be added to the Android and iOS SDK soon and then will make it's way into the RN SDK. You can mimic heatmaps using a ShapeSource and a few CircleLayer components, with a blur to create a similar effect.

would love to see this - any idea on ETA? may have to use another library if this will take a while

It needs to be released in the native SDKs first, then we'll add support for it, so you'll see it popup April/May. You can mimic what a heatmap looks like using circle layers for now. I'll update this ticket once we have a PR opened for heatmaps

It will be in our 7.0.0 release that will land in a few weeks

Can you elaborate what a "few weeks" mean? This was supposed to "popup" in April/May before, but is this now July? or August or September?

July, my priorities got switched in April to focus on AR, now I'm back on this project for the time being.

Hi Nitaliano,

Can you please give me an update on the timeline of when 7.0 will be released and is HeatMap feature still planning to be implemented? Thanks!

@nitaliano - How is 7.0 coming along?

been waiting for this since April.... Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

Also waiting...

We've given up on this... you would be best served to find alternative.

@nitaliano absolutely love this package. When do you anticipate releasing v7? Heat maps and animatable Annotation are huge

A far as I know React Native SDK has been deprecated and has been moved to a community based open source project.

I believe mapbox is no longer actively developing or supporting react native.

So, in short, v7 won't happen unless you do it yourself...

50% Accurate. It has been moved to a community supported repo but Mapbox is actually in talks with a few partners that might be interested in providing support.

Also, v7 support is already done. @nitaliano made it and as soon as it is tested should be good to go. Everyone just needs a little patience.

Thanks for the feedback - in all honesty, after more than a year of waiting after promises of "next month" and a "few weeks" a year ago, patience is understandably wearing thin.
