Is this module maintained? It seems a bit quiet.

Update: Not asking to complain. I'm asking so I know if I should offer my help / maybe fork this so we can maintain it.

@FaridSafi @kfiroo Maybe some more help is useful? There are some really good PRs, and I have personally been waiting for a fix to be published that's breaking my jest tests. I have experience managing communities and repositories (I have a bunch) so maybe it's nice if I can help out here, too.

I was thinking about a couple of things. Mainly two:

Using FlatList
Making the object structures configurable

Right now, I reformat all my messages. It works, but it's not ideal. It would be cool if the module simply allowed you to configure the keys to find messages.

In general the module works fine. I haven't had a lot of complaints so far. :)

I also wonder whether it is maintained. Looking forward to having merged PRs. 119 issues and 31 open PRs are too many for not a huge maintained lib.

@RWOverdijk I've recently come on board to help a bit. I like the two ideas you suggested, feel free to submit a PR! That would be great to have.

As far as adding new maintainers, there aren't a lot of people to choose from who are actively contributing to this library, but if you help us out with some good quality PRs and clear comments, I'm sure we would consider adding you as a maintainer as well. It would be great to have more help.
