Describe your issue here
While trying to create dynamic links on Android I am getting error, IOS is working fine. Handling incoming links works fine in both ios and Android.
Code to create dynamic link:
export const createDynamicLink = async (companyId, userId) => {
const link = await dynamicLinks().buildLink({
link: `https://www.example.com/v2/profile/${companyId}/`,
domainUriPrefix: 'https://example.page.link',
analytics: {
source: 'In-App',
medium: 'profieshare',
campaign: 'Traffic_profileshare',
content: JSON.stringify(userId),
// error occurs regardless of weather I add android section or not
android: {
packageName: 'connect.network.tranzact',
},
},
});
return link;
};
The error from Android Studio logcat is:
```2020-01-10 13:37:12.203 17380-18592/connect.network.tranzact E/DynamicLinks: RNFB: Unknown error while building Dynamic Link
React Native Firebase and Invertase on Twitter for updates on the library.never mind, solved after putting android section at correct place. But docs says android section is not required.
@vaibhavhrt Is the code code example you provided one that was causing the above error? Looking at the code and there is checks in place to prevent this from even happening:
Building links on android fails if I don't provide android section with packageName. I thought it will pick packageName automatically from google-service.json but it isn't. I don't have firebase.json, just google-service.json.
on iOS it works without any issue.
