React-native-document-picker: Unable to see Local folders such as Album

How can one access device local folders apart from cloud options?

do we have to install react-native-fs to see/open document folder ? on react-native-fs 's github page , as they pointing , they are not maintaining it any more , would it trouble me in near future ?
