In the comments on 081cb154cf01d389b59106f0a30171dfd9cfea0e @AndrewBelt asked for suggestions to how more input/output channels on the audio interface module could be supported without just increasing the module size.

I suggest a module that expands on the audio interface module that just adds more channels.

A real life example is http://www.bastl-instruments.com/modular/popcorn/

So it's actually possible to resize modules, but I haven't added support for moving them around if a collision is detected. This is what I'll propose: By default the audio interface has no ports. If you select an audio device in the dropdown, it figures out how many ins/outs it needs and resizes accordingly, and optionally moves to another place to make it fit.

Could you make in and out selection seperate, as loopback virtual ports are
essential till the vst thing.
