When a second line is entered in the compose box, it tries to animate larger. This should be removed
On a OnePlus 1 this results in the box not even expanding until the user has stopped typing for a second
I am still seeing this issue on a Moto G6 - it does not happen every time I hit the end of the line and the problem seems to be made worse if the break onto the next line occurs because of an auto-suggest insertion. If I am entering text fairly quickly then it can be several complete words before the previous text jumps into the correct place and shows the cursor position again.
I can reproduce this with all text sizes but there does appear (warning: anecdotal evidence alert !) to be an increase in this happening when I set the font size to "Large". The option for "Use system font" is disabled. The thought occurs to me that this might be related to the resolution of the G6 as my partner has a Samsung S8 and has never mentioned to this me, and it's the sort of thing that would drive her nuts. The G6 has a screen resolution that is arguably low by today's standards of 1080 x 2160. The S8 is 1440 x 2960.
Current version: 3.6.6.
Can confirm I saw this happen again when I was testing on my Xiaomi test phone, even though the issue is gone on my Pixel
