Python-telegram-bot: Failing to install onto a Raspberry Pi

Steps to reproduce

1. Intall python-telegram-bot using Pip in a Raspberry Pi

Expected behavior

I am trying to install python-telegram-bot using the preinstalled Python and Pip that comes with the latest version of Raspbian in my Raspberry Pi 3 B+. I used the command supplied in the README.

Actual behavior

This command fails (I tried with and without "sudo"):
pip install python-telegram-bot --upgrade

Operating System:
Latest version of Raspbian (clean install) into a _Raspberry Pi 3 B+_:

Thank you for the report. Seems like a dependency issue from your linux distro.
Your should try to install libffi-dev or something of the sort (depending on the exact linux distro).

Actually it seems to be because you're missing the proper gcc compiler tools.
Try installing it (and other needed things to compile cryptography properly) using sudo apt-get install gcc libffi-dev libssl-dev python-dev :)

Hi! Finally I installed the dependencies manually and I got it working. I have two Raspberry Pi, and in the second one, It gave me the same error as in my first message, but when I did

$ git clone https://github.com/python-telegram-bot/python-telegram-bot --recursive
$ cd python-telegram-bot
$ python setup.py install

, I got it working.

So I think that we can close the issue. Thanks for your help.
