I've been using pry for many years now, but only stumbled upon the get-naked command by accident today with a colleague. In a professional context, this was pretty awkward and uncomfortable to run into, but from an even broader perspective, this language is also exclusionary and can make many people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.
The use of sexualized language and imagery makes many people feel unsafe. To be completely honest, I was hesitant to even run the command to see what it did because of this kind of feeling. I'm sure that I can't be the only one who feels uncomfortable by it, and I think it's worth renaming this command so that no one else in the community feels this way. Perhaps there is another term that could be used here, and perhaps the sexualized language could be removed to make other users feel more included.
I hope you'll take my suggestion into consideration! I also noticed that you don't yet have a Code of Conduct. It would be great if you would consider adding one so that users and potential contributors to pry will know that this project is safe and welcoming. 馃槃
Thanks for bringing this up. I think it would be fine to just remove all of the poem easter eggs, and it's definitely in the spirit of @kyrylo's recent renovation efforts. I would also support adding a standard CoC.
I had forgotten about the get-naked easter egg, i never liked it so i'm happy we remove it. Sorry if it upset you :)
The other easter-eggs though are just fun and cute so I'd prefer they stay 馃槢
Regarding a CoC, we're currently still evaluating this; I expect we'll add one soon-ish once we reach consensus among our devs on which one to pick 馃憤
Thanks for your quick replies! I'm glad you see where I'm coming from :) I've gone ahead and made a PR to remove that command (#2051).
Also glad to see that you have plans to add a CoC; I think that's awesome!
