Game starts with a black screen and crashes shortly after.

Looks like this game needs Media Foundation support.
Installed a 3rd party codec pack and quartz like I did in #2009. Still crashes at the same point with a black screen. At line 3976 of the log it looks like wine is trying to load a non-dll game file as a dll and THATS where it crashes. At least, that's what it looks like to me. Knowing my luck, I'm probably wrong.

@teldon according to your log the game probably needs Media Foundation support. I'm not sure installing quartz by itself would be enough to get things working. But I'm not codec/quartz/mfplat expert, so I might be completely off-base here.
The Proton log you posted has the following fixme in it:
16100.585:0027:002c:fixme:mfplat:MFStartup (131184, 0): stub
Now, the good news is; this problem is being worked at. See the comment by CodeWeavers' developer Andrew Eikum: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/1464#issuecomment-458144128
That's weird because I had a very similar issue with #2009 and was able to get around it by using protontricks to install a third-party codec pack. I'll have to look into a little more when I get home from work.
It's not clear to me if it's Media Foundation issue. From the log, it loads mf.dll, then mfplat.dll, then unloads mf.dll. Crash happens later.
@nsivov do you think I should remove it from my list at #1464 then? Because it might not be related?
@HonkingGoose there's no harm in having it there, MF might as well be used once we get past this crash. Just mark it as 'unsure' regarding codecs. Thanks for keeping this list updated, I'll make sure to use it at some point.
Media foundation might still be an issue in the long run because that was
the first thing that was pointed out. I did the third-party codec
work-around and MF doesn't seem to be an issue.

@nsivov @teldon I'll keep it on my list then, with codecs marked "unsure".
Well looks like with 4.2-9, the game launches and plays fine as far as I can tell. But it looks like there is no audio.
As of Proton 5.0-2, the game launches, but shows no visible window until it is force closed (it is then a black screen.)
