I'm always frustrated when I have back office notifications not concerns me but the settings is global for all employees so I cannot disable it only for an employee.

Notifications settings can be set by default with existing settings for all but must be customizable by employee for their needs.

This feature can be developed in a minor version. But it has not been prioritized yet, which means that its development has not been planned yet.
If you feel like it is an improvement you could develop yourself, you can propose a Pull Request to PrestaShop. That would be awesome :)
If you want to work on it, you can indicate it here, and ask for guidance and more specifications from the team.
