Powertoys: Power toys run does not work!

Power toys run doesn't work, wherever and whenever I try. No updates are available, I tried changing shortcuts, turning on and off and other methods, but nothing works,

last update did not help. same error:
Power Toys Settings Error. Failed to create the WebView control.

@gmiwoj what version of Windows are you on. Based on your error, i'm betting your on Like Windows 10 1809 or earlier.

@coheneli98 what version of powertoys and can you zip the logs and share them. We just released 0.25 and fixed a lot of issues.

yep. win 10 ltsc 1809 build 17763

i guess that explains the problem.
now what? any chance this gets patched to work on 1809 eventually?
if it can't be done i guess i'll just wait for ltsc update next year, no hurry.
or until someone on the internet finds a workaround. as always.

unfortunately the bug you are experiencing cannot be easily fix and given we are phasing out the old PowerToys Settings we opted to not fix it.

oooooh it's a separate settings app that's crashing! power toys itself is still working!
and i can manually edit jsons to change settings. good enough, i can work with that.

It's not because they cannot make a settings window. It's because they are waiting for WinUI 3

Just because it does not work for you, doesn't mean that the PT Team does not know how to create a settings UI

but i'm on win 10 ltsc 1809, we've already established this is why it doesnt work.
i'm just saying something as basic as settings should work
