_What is the expected result of the above steps?_
It is possible to see typed symbols in PowerToy Run windows
PowerToy Run window is not focused as result it is not possible to type.
@mykhailopylyp Could you please start narrator (win+ctrl+enter) and check which window currently has focus? The issue here seems to be that PT Run has logical focus (notice blinking cursor in PT Run search box) but not the keyboard focus.
I was able to repro this issue when running PowerToys in administrator mode. Here are the repro steps :
This issue doesn't happen in normal mode.
I created a shortcut to PowerLauncher.exe on my desktop, but after launching it, the box gets no focus. However, if I use the keyboard shortcut it does get focus. When I launch the program with the shortcut on my desktop, I can see the cursor blinking in the box but, sadly, it has no focus. I first need to click in the search box so it receives the focus. It feels counter-productive. As I see it, the box should receive focus whether I launch the app with a click or a keyboard shortcut. Personally, I think it's a bug worth fixing.
Keep up the good work!
@somil55 PowerToys Settings window has focus.
I can reproduce this issue consistently using the following steps:
(*) Step 2 is important here, it only works when the process you switch to is running in administrator mode. I can reproduce this with different programs, f.e. VScode, Sublime Text, Jetbrains Rider.

I hope this issue gets fixed because I want to use the PT Run process switcher, and switching to an elevated program is a common use case for me.

I also get the issue from time to time on 0.25. I didn't identify a reproduction scenario tough.
