I just typed in something, and suddenly PT Run crashed with this popup window that won't go away, making my computer laggy:
Thanks for reporting but we really need the needed info in the template. Is this 0.20.0 release? If so, excellent change 0.20.1 fixed it which we just released
Any chance for logs? %localappdata%\Microsoft\PowerToys\PowerToys Run\Logs
Yes, it was the 0.20.0 release. I ended the PT Run task on task manager, and it worked after that. Today, my version of power toys updated to 0.20.1. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.
@Akhileshthedevguy
OK, closing for now, please reopen if it happens again.
Thanks.
This happened again:
And it asked me to copy paste this exception error:

This one could be hard to debug, that isn't much to go on. @somil55
@Akhileshthedevguy you're on 0.20.1, correct?
@Akhileshthedevguy Can you please include the log file as well. We might be able to get some meaningful information from that.
@crutkas Yes, I'm on 0.20.1.
@somil55 I'm attaching all the logs for this month. The logs wouldn't fit in this comment because of the file size, so here's a link to them, instead: https://we.tl/t-Yue3wdzdNs

Your 08.08 logs have an exception I don't think we've seen before.
Also mages looks like it is having an issue as well.
@aldahabi27 has a video for the crash. Looks like heavy scrolling, maybe typing while scrolling.

This keeps happening. It happened once before, as well. Today, It suddenly errupted in an error with a whopping 964 "PT Run got an error" windows. Have a look:
The log file in #5957 also shows the same behavior where the exception seems to be thrown more than a 1000 times in a few seconds.
ping'ed the WPF thread
Still keeps happening in v0.23
Still spawns the error window in the thousands.

@crutkas based on the discussion thread at https://github.com/dotnet/wpf/issues/3430, I think the best way to debug this is by debugging it on a user's system that consistently hits it.
Anyone on this thread up for debugging with us?
