Powertoys: Utility to map caps lock to control, escape, etc

Created on 12 May 2019  Â·  5Comments  Â·  Source: microsoft/PowerToys

Currently you have to edit the registry manually or load some file from the internet to the registry to map the useless caps lock key to a useful key like control. A power toy that does this would be nice.

.

Or map it to switch keyboard languages

For key remapping, there is two good programs, the powertool team can get inspiration from:

SharpKeys and KeyTweak

OSX does also have some built in utility:

this should be done with just normal key to key remapping

The new Keyboard Manager module is now available in 0.18 https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/releases
