As far as I can tell, it's looking for a dll in the wrong place. Note my user is _not_ wallydz and no idea why it's french.
Which install packages are you using ? Popcorn-Time-0.4.4-win64-Setup.exe ?
@Persei08, yes, that's the one
@reddo Have you tried deleting the %localappdata%\Popcorn-Time folder before re-installing? (this will also clear your Favorites, marked as watched, and reset settings to default)
I really don't want to lose that information. Builds before 432 work fine, I've installed 431 without issues; why do you think wiping that folder would work?
Because I dont have this issue (on Windows too) so its probably something specific with your system/installation
Try something else then, rename %localappdata%\Popcorn-Time\ to %localappdata%\OLDPopcorn-Time\ then download and install https://ci.popcorntime.app/job/Popcorn-Time-Desktop/436/artifact/build/Popcorn-Time-0.4.4-win64-Setup.exe
If it doesnt work, delete it and just rename your old installation folder back as it was.
If it does work, copy only %localappdata%\OLDPopcorn-Time\User Data\Default\data\bookmarks.db & watched.db over to the same place in the new installation, then check if they got transferred correctly, if they did you can then delete the whole old installation folder.
Deleting that folder works, but I really don't want to lose my database.
@reddo check above I've edited my comment
Btw, did you have 'Big picture' enabled by any chance?
Using only bookmarks.db and watched.db worked.
As far as I know, I didn't have Big Picture enabled. In my old settings.db I had {"key":"noBigPicture","value":0,"_id":"vmIbV3RBHE7qCCTU"}
Thanks for the help, @kiriles90.
@reddo Hmm, I thought that might be the issue but if not then nevermind.
No worries :+1:
You are better off in general too keeping only those two .db files, gets rid of all the old cached/temp files and defaults the settings to their original values so you avoid any potential issues these might cause.
P.s now that you now where your 'stuff' is, backup those 2 somewhere, might help one day..
