Consider a solution that allows your system to be used in other DE's like Gnome, KDE, Cinnamon, Budgie ...

I think this problem happens because I'm using libgranite.
But first, I have to see what Planner looks like outside the official theme of elementary.

I think it's not Granite because I use other elementary applications in Arch + Gnome.

On DeadlineButton.vala#L42 you use

Granite.DateTime.get_relative_datetime `(deadline);

Granite's get_relative_datetime() uses this function which uses

var h24_settings = new Settings ("io.elementary.desktop.wingpanel.datetime");

@btd1337 You are sure that you are still giving this error, and have been reviewing the code of Granite.DateTime and at no time the functions I am using have any reference to any specific property of elementary.

Granite.Widgets.TimePicker uses the function is_clock_format_12h () which uses io.elementary.desktop.wingpanel.datetime

Fuck, I think I'll create my own Widget to define a time and put in the settings an option to be able to choose a 24 or 12 hour format without relying on some elementary default settings.
