Php-language-server: [Error] The PHP Language Server server crashed 5 times in the last 3 minutes. The server will not be restarted.
Hello, I'm new to vscode as much as I enjoy it. I have much to learn.
I'm getting this error since this morning an I do not know what caused or how to resolve it. I checked other similar problems and didn't get an answer there.

Okay solved the xDebug issue.... now all i'm left with 'PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of XXX bytes exhausted' this i do not know how to solve. any help is appreciated

I'm facing the same problem. I've tried to change memory limit "php.memoryLimit" to 8G but no luck there.

Yes. There is no difference. I was also playing with php.ini but still the same.

E.g. what value does $options['memory-limit'] have, what is the value of ini_get('memory_limit')

I've added simple echo

I get exactly the same memory issue, failing in the same place with the same number of bytes. I've tried setting memory limit to varying levels but to no avail.

If you use 32bit version of PHP, the 4G settings made this: "Server server crashed 5 times in the last 3 minutes. The server will not be restarted."
So, I decreased 4G (4096MB) to only 4095MB and everything works fine.

Setting to 2G doesn't fix for me. It did affect phpcs which was throwing the same error however with 2G set in php.ini I still get the same memory size exhausted error.

php.memoryLimit isn't a setting I have in vscode
And decreasing memory limt to 1150M(or lower) as per felixfbecker/vscode-php-intellisense#240 doesn't help. Bearing in my my memory limit started at 128M today anyway.

Of course - 32 bit processes can only use a maximum of 2GB of RAM.

But on an extra note can you point out why it only uses a maximum of 2GB of RAM? Just curious. Thank You
