I have installed KeepassXC on Fedora 25. It is working with the KeePassX Icon in Papirus. So maybe just a symlink needed under the new name?
@dirkdavidis the new icon will be better.
I don't know if this is ready yet (I'm sorry if it's not), but in my case it's missing the dark tray icon:

@GUiHKX tray icon have single icon name for app too - it's upstream bug
@varlesh no, it isn't. I found file names of tray icons in the official repo.
I've just updated Papirus. The keepassxc-locked.svg tray icon works as expected, but after I unlock the database, the icon gets replaced by this one instead of keepassxc-unlocked.svg:

Any ideas?
@GUiHKX it's very weird. Works on Papirus, but doesn't work on Papirus-Dark, Papirus-Light and ePapirus. Could you confirm it?
@SmartFinn keepassxc-unlocked наверное надо развернуть иконку или покрасить. Как думаешь? Или оно не арбайтен?
а всё, сорри... увидел ты замочек туда присобачил)) Красавчик :+1:
@GUiHKX I probably fixed it. Can you test it?
It didn't work for me. I don't know if I messed up some setting in my XFCE, but whenever I change the icon theme, the tray icons are not updated at all, only the icons in the menu are.
@GUiHKX try to restart the panel.
Just did. Didn't work for me, it still gets replaced by the green icon after I unlock the database
@GUiHKX I confirm. It doesn't work in XFCE, works in Unity and GNOME 3 only. This patch fixes it https://github.com/keepassxreboot/keepassxc/commit/c06e55df811d5c300dca25a7605654aef434d6a9. Wait until they release a new release.
Great! Thanks for the heads up.
@GUiHKX if you using Manjaro or other Arch-based distros, you can install keepassxc-git package from AUR

I thought about that previously, but since the v2.2.0 release is near, I'll just wait for it. Thanks for the suggestion though
