Owlcarousel2: resize window with carousel doesn't refresh the carousel properly

Have a test mockup site that has a couple of carousels on it - I set it up with v1, which worked great, but thought I might try the v2, but it has some pretty big issues with resizing the browser window - the images / items in the carousel overlap until the window is refreshed, after which point they work fine.

same behaviour with v1 is that the carousel resizes / handles the responsive snap fine.
