Opensourcepos: How can i put my custom field value to sales register table

I need to know that how can I put my custom field value to sales register table.I have already put my custom field value on item tab but I cant able to show that value at sales register.Kindly suggest me how to code in register.php or other files to get the value

I removed the full stop from the wiki page title as that was causing the link to be broken.
