Openshot-qt: OpenShot only using 25% (1 core) of my CPU?

Created on 14 May 2018  路  1Comment  路  Source: OpenShot/openshot-qt

When using openshot, I note that my Task Manager states it's only using ~25%, with little deviation.
It's stated that OpenShot is multi-core compatible, but I have 4 cores, and 25% is only one of them.

  • Operating System / Distro: Win 7 Pro Service Pack 1
  • OpenShot Version: 2.4.1

I'm unsure of how this would be reproduced, mainly because there are no steps, it just "is"

I would assume it would take more of my CPU, and even more so because it's taking ~20 seconds to accomplish any move in the editor.

This is after I simply clicked on the interface. Openshot freezes (unrelated), then CPU goes instantly to 25%.

I would suggest that you try out the latest daily build. I think multi-core support has been implemented in the daily builds, and will be out with v2.4.2 (which should be out, hopefully, within this month).
