Is your feature request related to a problem or area of OpenRefine? Please describe.
Wikidata statements can have three "ranks": Preferred, Normal or Deprecated.
When creating Wikidata statements from OpenRefine, in the Wikidata schema, it is not currently possible to set a custom rank for the statements created: the rank is always "normal".
There is already an image for ranks in the UI but is not clickable.
Describe the solution you'd like
It would be useful if the rank image in each statement could be clickable and one could define a custom rank, similarly to the way it is done on Wikidata itself.
Additional context
The rank icon looks like this:
. This represents the three ranks (the grey filling moves depending on which rank is active).
Here is what it looks like in Wikidata:

When editing the statement:

Can you further elaborate on the issue; What exactly happens in the UI when a user would click on the rank icon in OpenRefine ? Some popup or dropdown or what , since you mention "custom" is it some input field that opens?
I would say just mimic what Wikidata's own UI does - that is the most precise description I can give :)
You can just try it out by yourself at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q4115189: edit any statement and change the rank there.
Gotcha, understood now.
Hey, can I work on this issue?
@Bhanu-mbvg sure!
@Bhanu-mbvg Lovely! This improvement would really make OpenRefine the most powerful mass-editing tool for Wikidata - Neither QuickStatements nor Petscan can change ranks AFAIK.
